I think it's safe to say that pretty much everyone who's paying attention believes that the United States (in 2021) has a disinformation problem (caused by malicious actors), a misinformation problem (caused by honest mistakes), or both.

It might seem to be common sense to say that it has both. However, to what degree is disinformation driving society forward?

Some groups believe some things to be true while other groups believe the exact opposite. What occurs to some people as protecting public health occurs to other people as illegal or evil boundary crossings and threats to human health and dignity, and the rule of law.

This argument map attempts to open up a conversation on this topic. What is the best evidence to believe that it is the work of malicious actors? What are the best refutations to that evidence? Let's find out!

Hear what everyone else is saying and then make up your own mind Shared Reality is damage control for disinformation
